Serving Our Community
In addition to its Signature Programs in 2021, The Harold V. Lucas, Jr. Foundation has made significant contributions to Linda Bostick’s Community Backpack Give Away, The Chiles Academy, and The Pace Center for Girls.
Linda Bostick’s Community Backpack Give Away in Midtown Daytona Beach began several years ago because of her love for the community and desire to help others. The give away is back to school celebration where children receive school supplies, backpacks, clothes, and more.
The Chiles Academy is named in honor of former Florida Governor, Lawton Chiles who believed in improving the lives of all children. It serves any pregnant or parenting teen in Volusia county from grades 6 through 12. It offers a specialized curriculum, parenting classes, and free on-site child care for our students.
The Pace Center for Girls values all girls and young women, believing each one deserves an opportunity to find her voice, achieve her potential, and celebrate a life defined by responsibility, dignity, serenity, and grace. Pace provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training, and advocacy.
