The Foundation
The Harold V. Lucas, Jr. Foundation was established to serve, uplift and address generations of environmental trauma in the historic Midtown Daytona Beach community. In the 21st Century, everyone in Midtown should have access to every opportunity that will support the continuous development and renewal of a prominent urban community that rose above the injustice of segregation and racism that was prevalent during the earliest parts of the 20th Century.
THE MISSION
The mission of The Harold V. Lucas, Jr. Foundation is to enhance the historical and cultural advancement of the Daytona Beach Midtown community while continuing the legacy of education, athletics, service, leadership, and philanthropy of Harold V. Lucas, Jr. with a commitment to honor the past and contribute to the future.
PROGRAMS
The Foundation will advance its mission through quarterly community events, annual scholarships, and preservation of historical memorabilia.
